Cnn has lots of info on how you can help Joplin. Please, go and donate. It’s easy to think these disasters aren’t your problem—I always did. Not with any sort of malice, but I grew up on the east coast, I’ve never experienced devastation like this, and it all seemed so far away. My boyfriend was born and raised in Joplin. 80% of his family still lives there. All of them are alright, thank god, but the town is pretty much completely destroyed, and they’re expecting more severe weather for the rest of the week. There’s flooding, and gas is leaking everywhere.
